Bale and his Wales team-mates have joined up for training ahead of the inaugural UEFA Nations League clash with Ireland.Following their domestic duties, Ryan Giggs’ side enjoyed their first session of the international break at their Vale Resort training base on Monday morning.

Bale and his compatriots appeared in very high spirits as they look to get their revenge over Ireland on Thursday evening at the Cardiff City Stadium. The Wales squad – including the likes of Joe Ledley, Joe Allen and Wayne Hennessey – were pictured taking part in agility drills before enjoying possession work at their training base.
Wales will be desperate to get one over rivals Ireland after Martin O’Neill’s side beat them to progress to the World Cup qualifying play-off round.

James McClean scored the only goal of the game in Cardiff to fire Ireland into the play-offs, while simultaneously knocking Wales out.

But now Giggs will be eager to get off to a strong start in the Nations League after taking on his first senior managerial role in January when he was appointed Chris Coleman’s successor.
